Juvederm Voluma XC is the newest addition to the Juvederm family of dermal filler products. It is most commonly used to add volume to the cheeks in patients with age-related volume loss. Juvederm Voluma can be used in conjunction with Botox, Juvederm Ultra Plus and skin resurfacing to achieve a nonsurgical facelift.
Juvederm is priced by the syringe. The cost will be different for each patient based on the total amount of syringes needed to achieve the desired level of volume correction. Most patients need at least one syringe of product per area. Dr. Lee can help each patient determine how much product will give them the desired results.
No, most patients don't experience any significant level of pain or discomfort during a Juvederm XC, Juvederm Volbella, or Juvederm Voluma XC treatment. Dr. Lee will apply a numbing cream before any Juvederm treatment to help keep patients comfortable.
The recovery process is a fairly fast one, and in fact, patients can generally resume their usual routine right away if they wish. There may be some minor swelling and redness at the injection site, but this usually dissipates within just a few days.
