What is Dysport? 

Dysport is a non-invasive wrinkle treatment that is similar to Botox, Xeomin, and Daxxify. It is an FDA-approved injectable made from purified botulinum toxin protein. The procedure is quick, usually taking only 10-15 minutes, and requires no recovery or downtime. In addition to its use as a wrinkle relaxer in the forehead and eye areas, Dysport is also used for the control of migraine headaches and the treatment of excessive sweating. 

How does Dysport work to relax wrinkles? 

Dysport offers targeted wrinkle reduction when injected into the muscles responsible for facial movements. Dysport causes partial paralysis of these muscles. As a result, the facial expressions that lead to the formation of wrinkles are diminished, giving the skin a smoother and more youthful appearance.  

What are the best areas for Dysport? 

Dysport is highly effective in reducing wrinkles in various areas of the face. The most popular area for Dysport treatment is the forehead, where both horizontal lines above the brows and vertical lines between the brows can be significantly reduced. Other common areas for Dysport injections include crow's feet, the lines that form at the corners of the eyes when laughing or smiling. Dysport can also be used to lift eyebrows slightly or improve the appearance of a drooping mouth in certain cases. Some individuals may choose to have Dysport injected into the neckbands as well. 

How long will Dysport last? 

The duration of Dysport treatment results can vary from person to person, but typically it lasts around 3-4 months. To maintain the effects of Dysport, regular treatments should be scheduled before the product has completely worn off.
