Each Kybella treatment only takes about 15-30 minutes. After cleansing and sterilizing the treatment area, we use a template to determine where to inject Kybella, based on your specific anatomy and how much excess fat you have.
We then administer a series of injections into your submental (i.e., under-chin) fat. The synthetic deoxycholic acid starts to break down the fat cells. Over the next few weeks, your body processes and eliminates them.
If you remove your double chin with liposuction, you get a dramatic difference right away, along with long-term bruising. It’s pretty hard to be discreet with a liposuction or traditional surgical treatment.
Kybella, in contrast, works gradually and subtly. Although you may have some soreness and redness right after your treatment, you don’t have actual downtime. You can use makeup right away in most instances.
